A Community-Focused Design

At our second Zoom meeting, the design team presented a vision that brought together many of the desired features we'd discussed at our previous meeting. The consolidated design gives us the ability to offer the residents a wonderful opportunity for services and employment in their own community.

The main entrance will lead into a beautiful landscaped courtyard mid-level, where the retail shops, pharmacy, bank, restaurants, and other service businesses will be located. Designed as a gathering place, the courtyard will be a great environment for sitting, relaxing, waiting for an appointment, or meeting a friend and for outdoor dining. A boutique hotel of about 20 rooms is planned for the upper level, complete with a rooftop deck. In additional to the main, open-air parking lot (with plenty of room, wide stalls and easy access), the sloping lot allows for a split-level design with lower-level parking and additional leasable space. These lower-level spaces still maintain daylighting and exterior street-facing storefront.

Overall, the design maintains 40,000 square feet of commercial lease space, including 10,000 square feet of office space, and an additional 10,000 square feet for the 20-room hotel. The 15,600 square foot courtyard will be available for community gatherings to go along with nearly 1,500 square feet of amphitheater and stage. The courtyard uses with light wells to brighten the underground parking and will also serve as access to some of the commercial businesses from a covered walkway that will shade their entrance. A bank, pharmacy, and space for new restaurants are included in our vision.
